Mikko Sammalkivi – Psychotherapist, personal Trainer and coach

I’m a licensed psychotherapist and certified personal trainer. I hold a Master’s degree in Theology and have also studied psychology and philosophy. I help my clients improve self-leadership, strengthen their resilience, and create sustainable lifestyle changes. My coaching combines evidence-based knowledge, practical tools, and personalized guidance.

Health-focused exercise has always interested me, and in recent years, I’ve also grown passionate about competitive sports as a form of personal challenge. In both my professional work and personal life, I’ve seen how closely physical activity and mental well-being are connected—and how important it is to find the form of movement and recovery that truly works for you. As a healthcare professional, I’m particularly fascinated by the relationship between exercise and mental health, and how coaching can be tailored to meet each person’s unique needs and goals.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, music, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I also have a deep love for animals and spend a lot of time with my German Shepherd, Pepe, practicing obedience training together. I understand well how time spent with animals can bring calm, joy, and balance to everyday life.

As a coach, I’m known for being a good listener—attentive, trustworthy, and with a sense of humour. Here’s how my clients describe working with me:
